Who is your most favourite self?

I read a question somewhere a while ago that I liked.

Instead of striving to be your 'best self' or trying to figure out what your 'higher self' would do, instead, ask:

Who is your most favourite self?

The version of you that you like being the best.

Nothing to prove. Nowhere to get to.

Forget the things you think you should aspire to, and all the ways the external world might tell you that you don't measure up, and all the stuff that advertising tries to trick you into spending money to change.

Think instead of the things that make you someone you like.

Who is your favourite self?

What are their qualities? Are they creative? Quirky? Curious? Kind?

What does your favourite self most love to do?
When I'm being my favourite self, I'm whimsical and imaginative, I'm writing or drawing or reading a really great book. Part of me thinks I should get out more, part of me thinks I should dress in fancier clothes, part of me thinks I should know more about this or that, try harder.

And it's nice to have things that excite you to work towards. Ways that you'd like to be, things you'd like to heal, stuff you'd like to learn.

But also, it's important to spend time as your favourite self, soaking in what's good right now.

So that's your invitation today - think about who your favourite self is, and soak in that version of you for a while.
